Director - Destiny Guerra

Destiny is currently the Director of the Viera Guard Program.  She has 20 years of classical dance training in many forms (ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, acro, etc) and has been choreographing for various performance groups since 2001.  


Destiny started her guard career with Bartram Trail High School (2001-2004) where she served as captain her senior year.  She also performed and served as color guard captain with Teal Sound Drum and Bugle Corps (2001-2003).


Destiny has a degree is Music Performance (Percussion) from the University of North Florida.  She also currently teaches piano and voice at The Viera Dance Conservatory, is the Director of the Invitational Talent Competition since 2008, and has been Director of Guards at Viera High School since 2010.

Destiny has two really awesome dogs and she loves guacamole. =)

2012-2013

The Viera High School Color Guard

presented their 2012-2013 Fall show "The Beatles" and received straight Superior Ratings at 2012 MPA!








2011-2012


The Viera High School Color Guard
presented their 2011-2012 Fall show of "Russian Celebration" and received a Superior Rating at 2011 MPA!


2012 Viera Color Guard


The VHS Winter Guard had an amazing 2012 season with their show "Say".  At FFCC Premiere they were promoted to Scholastic Class AA and on March 31st became the 2012 Scholastic Class AA Paradigm Division Gold Medal Champions!

2010-2011


In Fall of 2010, performing to the music of Stan Kenton, the Marching Hawks' Color Guard received a Superior rating at Florida Bandmaster's Association MPA District Festival (Fall 2010).

2010 VHS Color Guard

The Viera High School Winter Guard finished it's inaugural season in 7th place at FFCC State Championships in the AAA division and improved their score by almost 30 points throughout the course of the season!  Their show "Every Day in the Morning" always entertained the competition crowd and showcased the hard work of the members in performance and elbow grease (the floor was a giant calendar...painted by the team!).
